AXCESS Releases FleetTag™ Active RFID System Solution for Commercial and Government Fleets
System Provides Fleet Operators with Secure Automatic Vehicle Access and Tracking
DALLAS, TX, March 2, 2005 — AXCESS International Inc. (OTCBB: AXSI.OB), a leading provider of Active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems today introduces FleetTag into its ActiveTag™ product line. FleetTag is being marketed to the $490+ billion trucking industry to resolve the intrinsic challenges faced by fleet operators managing their vehicle assets entering and exiting terminal facilities. AXCESS’ FleetTag system can be scaled from integration with stand-alone gate controllers to enterprise-wide Yard Management software applications.
The FleetTag System hardware includes several AXCESS active RFID tag choices designed for a variety of surfaces and functions. These include harsh environment metal mount tags on truck and trailer bodies, standard vehicle tags for tractor windshield application and personnel tags carried by drivers. The System also includes TCP/IP and standard access control enabled receivers and a variety of wake-up antenna designs from road-loops to side mount solutions.
The FleetTag System software solution also includes a comprehensive suite of middleware and application software which allows real-time tracking of tractors, trailers and associated drivers in, out and within a specific facility. OnLineSupervisor (eOLS) provides such features as real-time email alerts (PDA, and cell phone), trend analysis and standard and user defined report generation. The middleware module of eOLS can easily link into existing database applications.

AXCESS’ patented ActiveTag RFID product uses small, battery powered tags (generically called “active” tags) that when automatically activated, transmit a wireless message typically 30 to 100 feet to hidden palm size receivers. The receivers are connected via an industry standard interface to existing security alarm equipment or networked on the existing corporate network. Optionally, the tag system can also be used to trigger security video recording and live remote video transmission. The tags are used for a variety of security applications including automatic personnel access to facilities, automatic vehicle access to parking areas and yards, corporate asset tracking and protection, as well as special purpose sensing. Automatic email alerting and paging is offered for rapid response to security incidents.
